Clean Water
By now everyone has heard that the EPA has found prescription drugs in drinking water around the country. These chemicals do not get removed in the treatment process performed by any municipality in the USA. When water go's through your town water department it is simply filtered for particulates and treated with bleach. Isn't that crazy. When the EPA released the report about this in March 2008 the press was all over the story. Now what. The press hasn't mentioned the report in weeks. After looking into this further I have found that there are antibiotics,steroids, Illicit drugs,Veterinary drugs,antibiotics, steroids, Agriculturer residues from pharmaceutical manufacturing, residues from hospitals and most important birth control drugs. Also some months ago I read about a connection between low sperm counts and birth control pills leaching into the water supply. So this turns out to be nothing new. Think of it. The drug companies sell the birth control to your neighbor and the fertility drugs to the couple down the street because the husbands been drinking the water the neighbors birth control landed up in. Now that's a monopoly if I ever saw one. There has been little said on how to protect ourselves from the drugs in the water. When the first story broke on this Reverse Osmosis was mentioned, but the cost of municipality installing Reverse Osmosis Unit is just not feasible. The costs are enormous.Some towns have it, but not many. Though there is no guarantee Reverse Osmosis appears to be the best way to filter water in our homes. We all need to remember and take care of the water supply. Don't flush drugs down the toilet is a good start. Getting a good water filtration system for you and your family sounds like a good idea aswell. Be good
